Since 1995 Costain has carried out a series of term contracts with ADGAS for the overhaul of its process plants on Das Island.

Job Description

The Project Manager will be responsible for compliance with the HSE policy and the standards of the company and shall ensure that all personnel involved in the project are inducted and briefed on the safety requirements of the project.

To have experience in the Storage Tanks, in Refinery ,Petrochemical and Power Industry.

Tender phaseTo assist in the preparation of quality technical bids and proposals in line with call for tender instructions.To identify potential resources for the project, in relation with the personnel, procurement and IT departmentsTo ensure regular follow-up of the proposal with the Client, and liaise with the Sales & Marketing Manager for further action.

Project phaseTo review thoroughly and understand all contractual requirements, and to clarify the scope of delivery.To strictly follow the approved scope of work and schedules, and implement the project QA/QC Plan.To select personnel, suppliers and subcontractors with the project department and business unit.To assess/appraise project personnel on project/yearly basis and motivate them to optimize performance.To monitor the performance of suppliers and subcontractors throughout the duration of the projectTo develop and implement project specific procedures and work instructions in line with ISO 9000.To control costs, minimize expenditure and report any deviation to project budget.To monitor progress, optimize schedule, report and act on any deficiency.To develop and implement strict project safety procedures, to set up safety incentive schemes when requiredTo liaise with client / Project Management Consultants on regular basis. Negotiate project change orders and handle customer complaints.To approve purchase and service orders, suppliers and subcontractors invoices, personnel time sheets and expenses claims, in line with level of authority specific to the projectTo approve personnel leave and rotation schedule, in accordance with project requirements.To organize demobilization of personnel and equipment at end of project.To initiate and approve invoices, to provide all necessary supporting documents & progress reportsTo issue close out / hand-over reports as required.To ensure compliance of all the project approval Gates right from the contract award until the completion and review of the project.Conduct periodic risk assessment workshops to assess the status of the project as per the IBP process.To maintain timely communication with the clients and the Project management consultants and their representatives to ensure compliance with concerns or issues.

Basic - Bachelor of Technology/Engineering ( Mechanical , Petroleum )
