Xtramix Concrete Solutions, L.L.C. is a well established company registered in Abu Dhabi( United Arab Emirates). It is (A subsidiary of Al Jaber group of companies) the largest privately owned company and the largest employer in Abu Dhabi. Al Jaber traditionally owned ready-mix concrete plants and equipments to supply its own projects. It has consolidated all its operations in the fields of ready mix concrete, precast, quarry and block, to provide a one-stop shop for all customers needs under Xtramix concrete solutions.

Xtramix main office is located at Mussafah Industrial Area, Abu Dhabi, together with its main tower batching plant. Other batching plants are located at Al Mafraq near Mafraq Bridge with easy access to the main road connecting Al Mafraq to Abu Dhabi Western Region and Al Ain; in Habshan "Western Region"; inside the premises of Abu Dhabi International Airport; Ras Al Khaimah; Al Ruwais; Hameem. Liwa, and Al Saadiyat Island, which brings the total to 8 plants.

The company is engaged in the production of ready-mix concrete to cater the needs of the people especially to the construction industry. One of the objectives of the company is to contribute its share as a supplier of ready-mix mixed concrete for the infrastructure projects of the private sector as well as in the government such as roads, bridges, oil & gas pumping stations, dams, reservoirs, ports & harbors, private/ residential villas, hotels, airfield, buildings and other similar structures.

Job Description

Responsible to supervise the plant laboratories and the activities related to it. Ensures that raw materials used by production and the subsequent products have passed the specified quality requirement. Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Directs and control the branch In-house Concrete Laboratory.

2. Conducts and supervises laboratory and plant trial mixes as per instruction of QA/QC Engineer or QA/QC Inspectors.

3.Directs, control and supervise the activities of the branch QA/QC Personnel(s) (Lab Technicians, Lab Helpers).

4.Review and evaluate laboratory test results prior to submission to the immediate superior.

5.Checking the quality of freshly mixed concrete during the course of concrete supply whenever necessary.

6.Confirms that resources needed in the conduct of testing and analysis is available.

7.Keep records of the inventory of equipment in the laboratory.

8.Verifies that approved mix designs are followed by production at all times.

9.Equipment and apparatus are maintained and calibrated as per calibration plan.

10.Inspection and testing conforms to set quality plan.

11.Ensure the company Quality Management system is adhered to in accordance with specified requirements

12.Advise of any changes to the procedures which would improve the Quality System
