Job Description


QA/QC Manager


• $6000 All Inclusive Package + Benefits

• Managing around 6-15 People Our client is one of the world's biggest global providers of mechanical solutions, technical applications and services for all phases of oil and gas developments. They employ over 40,000 people world wide They have a current requirement for a QA/QC Manager to work out of their Dubai Office. The successful applicant will be required to carry out but not be limited to the following:-


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Monitor and maintain the local Quality Management System in accordance with the Weatherford global QSM and in compliance with API Q1 and other national and international standards as appropriate.


• Plan and oversee management reviews, internal audits and vendor audit/certification as appropriate.


• Oversee the work of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control departments, ensuring that they have adequate resources and appropriate systems in place to ensure compliance with all accreditations, thread licenses and appropriate international and industry standards.


• Review all Non Conformance Reports, both internal and external to the company to ensure that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are put in place wherever possible to eliminate root causes.


• Monitor follow-up to Corrective and Preventive Action Reports


• Review all external Quality Plans and be the primary point of contact for customer nominated inspection and/or audits.


• Liaise with customers on a regular basis to understand and improve perceived quality performance.


• Identify and recommend training required to support continuous improvement. • Prepare monthly management reports on QA/QC activities and overall quality performance.


• Be responsible for budgetary planning control of the QA/QC departments.


• Be an active member of the ME Manufacturing Management Team.


• Any other delegated tasks or responsibilities as required, provided the requests are reasonable and the employee is capable and competent to fulfil them.


REQUIRED SKILLS:


• Educated to graduate standard, preferably in an engineering or technical discipline.


• Minimum three years experience managing Quality Assurance with an ISO 9001 accredited organization


• Minimum one years experience in an organization manufacturing engineered mechanical products


• Knowledge of welding processes/standards and NDE of metals and welds would be beneficial


• Qualified as a lead auditor (preferred) or internal auditor (minimum) by a recognized certifying authority


• Track record of supporting/facilitating continuous improvement


• Experience of the oilfield equipment and materials is desirable, but not essential


• Must have good verbal communication skills and be fluent in the English language


• High degree of computer literacy with experience of Microsoft Office


• Experience of MRP/ERP systems is desirable, but not essential


• Individual must be a self-starter, problem solver
