Job Description
Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, replace and retrofit of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution and motor control center products and equipment.Analyzes malfunctions in equipment and interprets maintenance manuals, using knowledge of systems, electricity, electronics and mechanics to isolate and correct the fault. Consults with product support and engineering personnel to determine solutions to unusual problems in system operation.Performs testing, calibration, checking, correcting, adjusting and part component replacement services on customer products. Constructs and tests circuits and equipment utilizing various tools and machines such as computers, workstations, circuit diagrams and test instruments/ equipment.Removes old equipment, replaces with new, assuring compatibility and correct functioning by using combination of mechanical and electrical skills.Collects installed base data for the Installed Base Management databank.Searches out other service opportunities during field service calls.Assists sales administration with identification of parts as required.Develops and maintains ongoing customer relationships with regards to all aspects of equipment repair and maintenance.Correctly fills out service call records, timesheets and other documents as required on site and has Customer approval as required. Submits same to his manager in a regular and timely fashion.Supports the Quality department and other entities of the group in attending warranty claims, inspections etc. as directed by his manager.Provides basic customer dedicated training on MV/LV products/ equipments for installation & operation.
