Ma'aden was formed as a Saudi joint stock company on 23 March 1997 (corresponding to 14/11/1417H) for the purpose of facilitating the development of Saudi Arabia's mineral resources. To date Ma'aden's activities have focused on its active gold business which has grown in recent years to include the operation of five gold mines: Mahd Ad Dahab, Al Hajar, Sukhaybarat, Bulghah, and Al Amar. Ma'aden is now expanding its activities beyond its gold business with the development of its Phosphate Project, Aluminium Project, and Other Projects. In addition, since its formation, Ma'aden (through the Ministry of Petroleum & Mineral Resources) has collaborated with the Government and local legislators to develop a regulatory framework for the governance of the mining industry in Saudi Arabia. Ma'aden's gold business is operated through its gold division which explores for precious and base metals within Saudi Arabia. It currently operates five gold mines in Saudi Arabia: Mahd Ad Dahab, Al Hajar, Sukhaybarat, Bulghah, and Al Amar. Ma'aden is also developing one more mining property in Ad Duwayhi and has five advanced exploration projects. In November 2007, SRK Consulting undertook an independent mineral experts' report on the gold mining and exploration assets of Ma'aden. Job Description


Key Functions:


• Create a best in class, high quality performance reporting framework, developing tools, models, mechanisms and a suite of reporting, tailored to provide all of the data required by the Ma'aden Procurement group to ensure the performance of the group is optimised.


• Develops annual KPIs and performance metrics which ensures Procurement is on target to meet its goals and objectives, now and in the future.


• Liaise with Senior Procurement colleagues across the Organisation to develop, and ensure the delivery of, key Procurement targets and objectives


• Report to Management performance versus target and projected results for both Corporate Procurement and consolidated company-wide performance. Alerts Management to targets which may be at risk and associated Action and/or Mitigation Plans


• Responsible to ensure that the performance reporting measurement and framework is fully utilised at all times, in a standardised manner by the group


• Analyze reporting needs, develop and maintain high quality performance measurement framework for the analysis of all procurement-related activities and the feedback of procurement function end users.


• Ensure the effective and timely provision, across the Procurement organisation, of performance data and information necessary for Procurement professionals to ascertain their progress against key performance indicators.


• Identify performance shortfalls, or potential performance shortfalls, and work with the responsible individual to identify causes and develop effective corrective action plans


• Provides performance trend analysis reports to the top management about areas of potential improvements in the areas of procurement.


• Continuously and proactively benchmark Ma'aden against best-in class procurement organisations and recognised measurement frameworks to ensure Ma'aden achieve best in class status


• Liaise with other Procurement departments in order to develop and maintain performance monitoring frameworks tailored to the objectives of the function and, where necessary to the specific objectives of Projects.


• Liaise with data owners, such as IT department, to develop suitable mechanisms for easy and reliable sourcing of required performance data.


• Proactively seek and review feedback from Procurement professionals regarding the performance measurement framework and areas for development and improvement


• Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with the Company's safety policies and procedures. Personnel:
