Job Description
1)To lead and manage the process engineering activities, monitoring to protect and enhance various plant operations. Provide operating facilities with required expertise to promote innovative solution, troubleshoot assistance, increase revenue, review & assist capital projects and develop company engineering guidelines & procedures.
2)Section Strategy Formulation a)As a senior member of the Process Engineering function team contributes to the formulation and implementation of the Process Engineering function strategy and plans to fulfil the function/business line needs and objectives.
3)Develop future workforce and ensure availability of required expertise to provide a world class services to customers.
4)Section Management a)Manages the day-to-day activities of the Process Engineering department, while providing expertise, encouraging and ensuring teamwork, aligning work processes, meeting established targets, exercising financial authority within established limits and controlling departmental budget expenditure in order to achieve high performance standards b)Liaises and coordinates with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to support and ensure execution and smooth flow of the company’s business
5)Process Optimization a)Continuous operation monitoring to ensure safe, reliable and efficient production and propose the correct action when required. b)Manage requests for modification and upgrading of equipment and process to determine feasibility of request/recommendation in terms of process improvement and reliability of the plant operating system and ensures that it is in line with company standards & procedures.
6)Trouble-shooting Supervises and participates in investigating incidents of failure and breakdowns of the operating facility in order to ascertain cause(s) of such failures and breakdowns from a process stand point and subsequently determine what corrective action should be taken
7)New Technologies a)Search for new technologies that improve and enhance plant operation while meeting company goals and objectives b)Leads the evaluation of new technologies in order to verify their feasibility with the existing plant processes and make recommendations about the adoption of suitable technologies based on a detailed feasibility study and cost-benefit analysis c)Participates in the process of witnessing the final testing and commissioning of newly installed equipment and auxiliaries to ensure they are in compliance with specifications
8)Technical Trainings Leads the overall provision of technical trainings across a wide section of the plant operations, maintenance and engineering divisions in order to ensure that the staff are adequately trained in order to perform their duties to the best extent possible
9)Safety, Quality, Environment a)Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls across various activities performed by the Process Engineering department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude
10)People Management a)Ensures the effective achievement of functional objectives through the leadership of the Process Engineering department setting departmental and individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance b)Support the company’s objective of Saudization, by providing job opportunities, training and interfacing with internal and external experts.
11)Business Plan Preparation Prepares forecast of the departmental budget in order to ensure smooth sustained section operations and justify any allocations for new modification/improvement in the department. Also participate in overall technical department’s goals, Objectives and KPI’s settings.

Requirements
1)Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering Minimum Experience:
