Joinery Projects Design Coordinator

Design
Coordinator will report directly to the designated Project Manager. He or she
is directly responsible for the planning and implementing the design to the
company’s high stand together with the following tasks.
To
liaise directly with the Project Manager on all issues pertaining to the
project.
To
liaise together with the Project Manager on all discussions with the client or
the appointed representative.
To
liaise with the planning department in regards to all design and engineering
scheduling.
To
liaise with the commercial department and in particular the assigned Quantity
Surveyor for the project.
To
liaise with the procurement department on all issues pertaining to their
specific project.
To
prepare drawings schedules, door schedules and hardware schedules.
To
attend all designated meetings both in house and when nominated, with the
client or on site.
To
provide documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, sketches or
specifications to the team, so that they may be drawn, fabricated, constructed,
assembled, modified so as to be fit for purpose.
To
coordinate the flow of information between sub contractors
To
supervise and administer all appointed CAD draughtsman, Team Leaders and
Assistant Design Coordinators.
To
supervise his or her team members in producing their given tasks in the
allocated time frame.
To
maintain the company drafting policy standards for the entire team and project.
To
coordinate the work load and distribute the work amongst the team effectively
and efficiently.
To
prepare and organize the detail catalogue at the commencement of the project.
To
prepare and execute ‘As Built’ drawings at completion of the project.
To
compile the O & M manual, prior to completion of the project.
To
consistently keep abreast of market trends and construction methods
To
ensure that the company policy and procedures are maintained and implemented at
all
times.
Whilst continuously seeking ways to improve, refine and modify procedures.
To
be well presented at all times and constantly work in the best interest of the
company.
