Plant Manager
at Network Recruitment in United Arab Emirates - Ras Al Khaimah
Our client is a leading Electrical Switchgear and Busbar Trunking Manufacturer operating throughout UK, Ireland, Europe and United Arab Emirates, serving large-scale industrial and commercial markets. The company is currently experiencing a period of significant growth and development. In 2009 the company opened a new automated 60,000 sq.ft. busbar trunking manufacturing facility in The U.A.E. (45 minutes north of Dubai).
As part of ongoing development, we are now seeking suitably qualified candidates
for the role of Plant Manager for this facility. The successful candidate will hold full
accountability for the general management of the site, providing direction, leadership
and adding value to all key areas of Production, Quality Control, Health & Safety,
People Management and Customer Service.
A senior position has arisen for a suitably experienced and qualified Plant Manager based at their plant in the UAE United Arab Emirates:
Reporting directly to the Group Company Directors and while overseeing the general management of the production facility, you will be responsible for;
· Leading the plant and all personnel in the delivery of optimum performance and
productivity through a visible culture of continuous focus on customer service,
product quality, effective logistic planning and after sales service.
· Initiating and implementing short, medium and long term improvement projects
through lean manufacturing techniques and the introduction of ongoing
product developments to improve operating efficiencies, reduce
downtime, target wastage and improve direct daily outputs.
· Leading the expected growth in production throughput as the company grows in
line with the current business plan.
· Promoting, developing and ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all
employees and visitors through the proactive implementation of both ISO
18001 and company H&S policies as a minimum.
· Communicating effectively within the Group, the production weekly, monthly
and annual reporting packs.
· To assist the HR Manager with direction and input in all areas of employee
resourcing, employee relations and training & development.
Essential Qualifications / Experience
· Degree Holder in an Electrical / Mechanical Engineering discipline.
· The successful candidate must demonstrate direct relevant experience and proven success in a senior operationally based manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
· You will possess excellent leadership and management skills with a proven ability for complex problem solving, robust decision making skills and general business acumen.
· High levels of interpersonal and communication skills are a pre-requisite to lead effectively and to provide the necessary feedback to the Company Directors.
Desirable Qualification / Experience
· Knowledge of busbar trunking manufacturing processes.
· Post graduate qualification in Business management or related subject.
