Our primary business activities are the sales, engineering, and servicing of industrial process instrumentation, distributed control systems, plant safety systems, plant information & management systems, SCADA systems, and measuring & analytical instruments. To meet the demands of growing markets in the Gulf Region and elsewhere in the Middle East, Yokogawa Middle East was established in Bahrain in 1990. It is now aligned with its European, American and South East Asian counterparts as a global facility in order to enhance and increase the scale and range of Industrial Automation solutions provided throughout the Middle East.


Job Description


To plan and manage procurement activities, so as to procure high quality products and services at optimum cost and delivery time in accordance with agreed business plans. Key responsibilities and accountabilities:


1.Procurement planning and execution


2.Managing vendor database with updated price lists, lead time, payment terms etc


3.Managing suppliers, relationships, service level agreements


4.Effective proactive liaison with other departments such as Sales: For pre-sales assistance and proposal preparation, Engineering: for procurement of right quality items at right time, Finance: for Accounts Payable Management, QA: For Vendor evaluation and registration.


5.Negotiating and administration of purchasing contracts


6.Cost saving budgeting and targeting


7.Payment terms negotiation, optimization and management


8.Shipping and Logistics management


9.International procurement issues (imports, exports, legal) awareness and management.


10.Contract Administration and Management of corporate contracts such as Building maintenance contracts, Travel agency contracts, Insurance contracts, IT services contracts etc.


11.Vendor Management throughout the life cycle of Automation projects: Vendor registration, receiving quotations, job execution, delivery, start-up and after sales services.


12.Ensuring vendor quality and delivery schedule by periodic vendor inspection and audits.


Desired Candidate's Profile


Profile Personal profile: Self-driven, reliable, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business sense. Willing to travel, Able to get on with others and be a team-player. Good negotiating skills and computer skills. Qualification and Experience: Graduate Engineer with post graduate qualification in Business Administration or Materials Management. Minimum ten years experience in Procurement Management function with Main Automation Contractors of which 5 years should be in Supervisory/ Managerial position. Experience in procurement of materials for End Users in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical or Power industries in Middle East is must.Experience 10 - 20 years


Education Basic - Bachelor of Technology/Engineering , PG - MBA/PG Diploma in Business Mgmt
