A Competitive Recruitment Package offered to overseas candidates:
Single contract.
Salary will be offered according to experience and qualifications.
Total monthly salary would range between 25 000 AED and 30 000 AED per month - all inclusive (basic salary + allowances such as housing allowance and transport allowance). 30 000 AED is equal to +/- R111 800 (South-African Rand)/ 6300 GBP/ 7500 EUR.
Medical cover and flight tickets will be for your own cost.

Minimum Requirements:

EDUCATION: Bachelor degree required. Master’s Degree will be an advantage.

EXPERIENCE: More than five years’ experience as Speech and Language Therapist- additional Feeding Experience (preferably dysphagia trained).

PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE/REGISTRATION: The applicant must have a valid professional license to practice, or registration (where applicable) from home country and/or country of last employment. Must have Good standing status.

GENDER: Females

NATIONALITIES: South-African, Australian, IRISH, UK, Canada, USA, EUROPEANS.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluent in English - Oral and Written.

Job Specification:

Under the direction of and reporting to the Director of the Center & the Director of Therapies, the Speech-language and Feeding Therapist is responsible for conducting Speech-Language and Feeding evaluations for the children visiting the center, to assess their level of functioning and their needs, and in addition creating specific programs and implementing therapy sessions.


Principal Responsibilities:
Assess and create intervention plans for children with communication disorders/impairment.
Write detailed reports upon evaluation and follow-up.
Instruct and advise parents on a feeding/speech treatment plan.
Work on appropriate language development and communication stimulation.
Maintain records and case notes.
Assess and address feeding issues of premature babies, children with developmental delay, cranio-facial abnormalities (e.g. cleft lip and palate), and neurologically impaired children (e.g. genetic, trauma, neuromuscular disorder, hypoxia etc).
Oversee the continued feeding development of children and follow-up with them.
Consult and work with team members of the multidisciplinary team to incorporate appropriate strategies and goals into the child’s plan to ensure the child’s fullest development.
Maintain confidentiality about clients and their families.
