Ma'aden was formed as a Saudi joint stock company on 23 March 1997 (corresponding to 14/11/1417H) for the purpose of facilitating the development of Saudi Arabia's mineral resources. To date Ma'aden's activities have focused on its active gold business which has grown in recent years to include the operation of five gold mines: Mahd Ad Dahab, Al Hajar, Sukhaybarat, Bulghah, and Al Amar. Ma'aden is now expanding its activities beyond its gold business with the development of its Phosphate Project, Aluminium Project, and Other Projects. In addition, since its formation, Ma'aden (through the Ministry of Petroleum & Mineral Resources) has collaborated with the Government and local legislators to develop a regulatory framework for the governance of the mining industry in Saudi Arabia. Ma'aden's gold business is operated through its gold division which explores for precious and base metals within Saudi Arabia. It currently operates five gold mines in Saudi Arabia: Mahd Ad Dahab, Al Hajar, Sukhaybarat, Bulghah, and Al Amar. Ma'aden is also developing one more mining property in Ad Duwayhi and has five advanced exploration projects.


Job Description


Aligns the development and execution of business development across the SBU functions. Leads the annual business development process for the SBU and Generate a healthy pipeline of growth opportunities within the metals value chains. Develops the strategic plan to achieve business targets through Developing a healthy pipeline of growth opportunities in aluminium business, both upstream and downstream, and prepares the annual business Development and Finance in evaluating these growth opportunities. Design a system to continuously expand the aluminium business through negotiating with investors and new venture partners. Present various business opportunities to the planning section and department's manager to defend and justify these investments to the President and Board members if required. Devises a system of monitoring progress and coordinate with various external and internal entities to projects progress form one stage to the next. Performance of Business Development


• Leads the annual business development process based on long-term JV's and partners in products.


• Leads key executive-level strategy initiatives from strategy creation to implementation


• Institutes broad cross-functional teams to conduct targeted analysis, depending on business needs.


• Conducts deep assessment of strategic competitors and industry trends and translating insights into robust competitive strategies, initiatives, and action plans


• Oversees the performance scorecard and supports VP of SBU in performance management process


• Acts as a strategic resource around business development and reviews and solving tough business problems as required Direct Opportunities Manages all aspects of a healthy pipeline of growth opportunities in aluminum both upstream and downstream, which includes researching, developing, and implementing new business opportunities via business alliances, new product offerings, or acquisitions. Will focus on developing an entire business development program from the ground up. This will entail working with Product/engineering to scope the needs requirements from beginning to end on what a full program would entail, including production, features and monitoring as well as the marketing coordination with the SBI Marketing Director. • Develops strategic plan to achieve annual business targets: both hard targets (financials, throughput, etc) and soft targets (talent retention, new product development, etc)


• Drives the delivering of key Aluminium strategic initiatives, planning, and special projects


•Creates SBU growth strategies including new business opportunity assessment, business case development, build-buy-partner approaches, end-to-end business plan, and incubation Directs qualitative and quantitative analysis of technology trends, service market, trends and overall competitive landscape to highlight growth opportunities, productivity improvements and new markets Financial


• Analyze the financial impact of potential partnerships and structure terms that mitigate risk and optimize revenue and profit and protect and refines and promotes the company's sustainable competitive advantage


• Leads the team in the preparation and review of various financial analysis reports or carries out pre-economic and economic feasibility studies, regarding proposed major capital projects, short and long term business plans and to evaluate potential investment alternatives. Liaises and coordinates with other Planners in carrying out studies and preparing study reports to management. 5-Year Plan


• Raises the Five Year Plan to the VP SBU, for further amendments and sets and fulfils the required endorsements within the Aluminium Company and submission to the Board for final approval. Prepares aspirations for the aluminium business for next five years and detailed planning for each JV and product lines.


• Provides planning and development expert advice to departments within SBU, and ensures that they are aware of the company's planning procedures
