Saudi Arabian Mining Company (MAADEN)

Ma'aden was formed as a Saudi joint stock company on 23 March 1997 (corresponding to 14/11/1417H) for the purpose of facilitating the development of Saudi Arabia¡¦s mineral resources. To date Ma'aden's activities have focused on its active gold business which has grown in recent years to include the operation of five gold mines: Mahd Ad Dahab, Al Hajar, Sukhaybarat, Bulghah, and Al Amar. Ma'aden is now expanding its activities beyond its gold business with the development of its Phosphate Project, Aluminium Project, and Other Projects. In addition, since its formation, Ma'aden (through the Ministry of Petroleum & Mineral Resources) has collaborated with the Government and local legislators to develop a regulatory framework for the governance of the mining industry in Saudi Arabia. Ma'aden¡¦s gold business is operated through its gold division which explores for precious and base metals within Saudi Arabia. It currently operates five gold mines in Saudi Arabia: Mahd Ad Dahab, Al Hajar, Sukhaybarat, Bulghah, and Al Amar. Ma'aden is also developing one more mining property in Ad Duwayhi and has five advanced exploration projects.

Job Description

č Manages Project function for the PM&E Division.

č Phosphate or Aluminum projects work experience is essential

č Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

č Creates and executes project work plans and identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.

č Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope and reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client

ƒç Effectively applies Ma¡¦aden Project Management methodology and enforces project standards and quality assurance procedures.

č Minimizes risk on project and ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

č Manages project budget, Develop project communication system

č Establishes project work schedules and budgets. Monitors project progress against schedule reporting variances and reasons. construction and liaison with suppliers and vendors to achieve construction and project requirement.

č Assures that all the development and construction projects are completed on schedule and at or below budget costs.

č Supervises and controls manpower, capital and expense budgets relating to assigned project.

ƒç Closely monitor the activities of the FEED and EPC contractors, ensures compliance with Ma¡¦aden requirements for design and construction are used to ensure the long term safe operation of the Ma¡¦aden facilities.

č Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner and keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.

č Develops management reports which details project performance in terms of cost and schedule to highlight risks to the project and plans to minimize their impact

č Periodic contacts at next higher level in other departments regarding task review and progress of the project through person, telephone and email communications.
