Saudi Arabian Mining Company (MAADEN)

Ma\'aden was formed as a Saudi joint stock company on 23 March 1997 (corresponding to 14/11/1417H) for the purpose of facilitating the development of Saudi Arabia\'s mineral resources. To date Ma\'aden\'s activities have focused on its active gold business which has grown in recent years to include the operation of five gold mines: Mahd Ad Dahab, Al Hajar, Sukhaybarat, Bulghah, and Al Amar. Ma\'aden is now expanding its activities beyond its gold business with the development of its Phosphate Project, Aluminium Project, and Other Projects. In addition, since its formation, Ma\'aden (through the Ministry of Petroleum & Mineral Resources) has collaborated with the Government and local legislators to develop a regulatory framework for the governance of the mining industry in Saudi Arabia. Ma\'aden\'s gold business is operated through its gold division which explores for precious and base metals within Saudi Arabia. It currently operates five gold mines in Saudi Arabia: Mahd Ad Dahab, Al Hajar, Sukhaybarat, Bulghah, and Al Amar. Ma\'aden is also developing one more mining property in Ad Duwayhi and has five advanced exploration projects. Job Description

Controls and implements approved programs on specific licenses within budget guidelines and ensures technical quality and safety of personnel. Participates in the development of exploration department programs and budget. Supervises the activities of assigned geological personnel. Performs supervisory functions and exercises financial authorities at the level established by Management for the position. Controls and coordinates field activities, i.e. drilling and sampling, oversees logging, marking and photography of core samples, ensuring all samples are labeled accurately prior to analysis. Interprets assay results. Reviews previous work carried out in field, interprets data and focuses activities on areas of potential. Ensures adherence to the Company\'s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) programs, policies and procedures. Conducts regular HSE meetings within own area. Monitors and audits activities, providing guidance and instructions to subordinates and authorizes measures to alleviate unsafe work practices. Investigates and provides recommendations or responses to incidents in the assigned work area. Ensures that contractors working under his control are fully briefed on the Company\'s HSE regulations.
