Job Description

Position: QAEngineer Reports to: QA/QC Manager Section: QA/QC Direct Reports: QC Inspectors, Lab Supervisor Internal Working Relations: Production, Finance, Planning, QA/QC, Safety, Transport, Stock Yard External Working Relations: Consultants, Contractors, Clients, 3rd party Laboratories and Government Agencies. Key Objectives of the Job: Responsible for Overall Quality Assurance and operation of Quality Management System of the Precast Plant/Factory Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Studies processes, interactions between processes and identifies possible areas of improvement.

2. Collects improvement suggestions and complaints from all departments and promotes their active participation. Ensures that the collected suggestions and complaints are properly studied in collaboration with concerned department heads and that improvement, preventive or corrective actions are implemented whenever required.

3. Ensures that the company recognizes the value of the participation of any departments with the innovative ideas.

4. Provides logistic assistance in order to help carry out improvement studies, setup improvement objectives, implementations and follow up. This logistic assistance can be to department/discipline of department including cross functional teams.

5. Provide logistic assistance in the definition of company-wide documents such as : Quality Policy, Mission and Vision, Strategic Plan, etc.

6. Verifies that the Quality System of the company match overall objectives of Plant / Factory and is in accordance with the ISO International Standards.

7. Organises participation in the Quality oriented awards. Provides company-wide coordination of data collection, improvement objectives and follow up in order to ensure satisfactory results in those awards

8. Promotes the image of the company both inside and outside the company and market.

9. Promote awareness of quality , customer and safety focus of the company to all departments

10. Checks that an appropriate level of quality is maintained in Plant/Factory and that regular improvements are made on those issues.

11. Responsible to advise the operations manager on any changes to the procedures which would improve the quality system

12. Involved in employee appraisal

13. Provides results of 360 degree leadership evaluation to the operations manager

14. Ensure that all suggestions send to him are properly studied

15. Ensure that the procedure is implemented, and that the top management receives regular updates on the implementation progresses.

16. Responsible for the reviewing and filing of all the relevant documents

17. Control and distribution of company's Quality Manual and Procedures Manual

18. The issue of audit schedule, follow-up of audit reports and close out of audit findings

19. Management review meeting coordination, follow-up of items raised from such meetings

20. Supplier assessment when required or requested by the purchasing department

21. Review and amendment of the Quality management System

22. Quality audit records and company records in general

23. Responsible for all procedures that make up the overall Company Quality Management System
