EMERGENCY DEP AND JOB DETAILS:
The EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT has state of the–art facilities and is one of the largest in the world, with 160 physicians and 500 nurses caring for around half a million patient visits per annum. The Department of Emergency Medicine provides comprehensive level 1 emergency medical services. The model of care consists of see and treat, urgent cases, resuscitation and chest pain evaluation bays. The department practices observation medicine with a dedicated short stay unit team and bays. The department has active training and educational activities as well as a dedicated quality section.
All suitable candidates will have the opportunity to pursue a faculty appointment at an appropriate level with Weill Cornell Medical Colllege in Qatar.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Radiology Services Manager has management responsibility for the delivery of radiology and nuclear medicine services to the hospitals and customizing service delivery to meet local community needs, within the context of the corporation-wide radiology and nuclear medicine program. He/she is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the accreditation activities for radiology/nuclear medicine and ensuring achievement of the Program’s agreed goals and objectives. This position is the key liaison between the radiology program and the Hospital administrations to ensure alignment of radiology services with Hospital activities.

The principal accountabilities of the Radiology Services Manager are: Ensure effective program management, including multi-site coordination of services. Liaise with Chief Radiologists to ensure operational synergies and service alignments are achieved in and across facilities, within the context of the corporation-wide radiology and nuclear medicine program. Provide direct management oversight and leadership for the non-medical Department Heads responsible for the day to day operational management of radiology and nuclear medicine services. Provide timely, expert advice to the Chairman of Radiology and Radiology Administrator in the development of plans for services growth, capital equipment needs, human resources plans, and financial budgets for the radiology and nuclear medicine function. Provide quality resource management ensuring effective maintenance, allocation, & utilization of equipment. Contribute to strategic planning through development and implementation of strategies for alignment of radiology services with Corporation, Hospital, and community requirements. Provide leadership for the development, implementation, and monitoring of corporate radiology policies and procedures ensuring best practice radiology and nuclear medicine standards, protocols, and guidelines across facility radiology departments. Monitor performance of the radiology and nuclear medicine function across span of responsibility and initiates agreed corrective actions. Provide expert analysis of monitoring and performance report results and trends, and action plans for the Radiology Administrator and Corporation Executive, as required. Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including negotiation and agreement on Service Level Agreement targets, goals, and standards. Is the key liaison with Hospital Executives to ensure alignment of radiology and nuclear medicine services with the Hospital clinical service and other activities. Ensure high standards are maintained for the quality management of radiology and nuclear medicine services. Provide leadership and managerial oversight to the non-medical Department Heads (Radiology) responsible for the implementation and monitoring of accreditation activities for radiology and nuclear medicine services within the relevant departments. Evaluation & implementation of new technology and capital equipment. Provides expert technical advice on equipment selection & evaluation. Manage change implementation to ensure full commitment of all stakeholders. Develop internal and external communication strategies for the function, for approval by the Radiology Administrator. Assist in the development and execution of short, medium, and long term plans, as agreed by the corporate radiology function. Ensures compliance with infection control, quality, & safety policies. Ensures effective utilization of resources and staff productivity. Prepares periodical reports on department activities. Undertake other duties as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum: BA Degree in Radiology or Nuclear Medicine with 7 years technical including 3 years management experience in a major hospital medical imaging environment.
Preferred: MASTERS Degree in Radiology or Nuclear Medicine OR MASTERS Degree in Management/Administration with TEN years’ experience in senior radiology management within a multi-site hospital / healthcare environment, with tertiary and quaternary services.

OTHER SKILLS:
High standard of English (written and verbal) essential. Basic Computer skills needed.

The Medical Physicist overseas all the physics practice in the Oncology Hospital. The scope of the job function involves a central role in providing technical assistance in the development of treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy, implementing new technology in the clinic, maintaining established policies, procedures, objectives, quality measurement, and safety. The medical physics team is involved in teaching and advising other staff on new equipment
developments and techniques and performs clinical research if interested.

The Medical Physicist is responsible for the regular monitoring of the radiation equipment to ensure correct and consistent results or outputs are achieved. Ensuring ongoing maintenance routine is followed. Commissioning new or upgraded equipment to achieve compatibility with existing machines. Training and advising technical staff (radiation protection technicians and supervisors and physicists) on new equipment and protocols. Lecturing and training other medical professionals such as physicians, residents, graduate students, medical students, technologists and nurses. Negotiating and agreeing changes to their diagnosis techniques in the light of new procedures. Researching new equipment
development and techniques, assessing the impact on existing local practice and compiling reports to initiate changes. Acting as on-call duty physicist to respond to problems, provide advice and technical assistance. Updating knowledge of health and safety legislation and procedures. Undertaking audit visits to departments to check compliance with health and safety legislation, this includes Cleaning, waste management and radiation detection advice. Advises and consults with physicians in such applications as use of ionizing radiation in diagnosis, therapy, treatment planning with externally delivered radiation as well as use of internally implanted radioactive sources. Complete subject of x-ray equipment, calibration, and dosimetry, medical uses of ultrasound and infrared, bioelectrical investigation of brain and heart, mathematical analysis and applications of computers in medicine. Formulation of radiation protection guides and procedures specific to the hospital environment. Conducts research in development of diagnostic and remedial procedures and develops instrumentation for specific medical applications. Complies with policies and procedures; and in particular infection control, safety and quality management. Performs other duties as requested.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum: Postgraduate degree in Medical Physics with 3 years plus experience in Medical Physics Radiology Oncology.
Preferred: Doctorate on Medical Physics with Radiation Oncology Speciality.

OTHER SKILLS:
High standard of English (written and verbal) essential. Advanced computer skills needed. The employee needs to be able to work with and communicate effectively with a wide range of people. JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical pharmacist is in charge of providing various services to the Division Director, such as taking part in continuing education program for Medical Staff, health care services, and pharmacy students, advising physicians on drug usage and dose control in hospitals and clinics, and assisting the Division Director in his everyday duties.
The specialized services demanded by a Clinical Pharmacist Job include advising physicians on the inherent dangers of drugs and their eventual side effects as well as helping them in the prescription of correct doses. This advice promotes improvement in drug usage / dosage and in the supervision of therapeutic procedures for best results.
Clinical Pharmacist responsibilities also include coordinating the pharmacy technician ´s duties – who work in the preparation, labelling and delivery of various medications or supplies according to prescriptions – and making sure that all dispensed drugs are recorded and delivered in accordance with local, state and federal laws or regulations.
Some of the Clinical Pharmacist Job duties are related to Education, as mentor pharmacists. They may train Pharmacy Residents, whose university activities include practical and theoretical knowledge, along with didactic direct experience. They may also deliver conferences at conventions and seminars.

EDUCATION:
Minimum: MPharm or PharmD (Masters or Doctors degree in Clinical Pharmacy).
Preferred: Mpharm or PharmD & certifications in different areas of pharmacy are a plus.

In depth knowledge on drugs, medical procedures and therapies, diagnosis and disease states, and some pharmaco-kinetics.
Skills in working with technical automated equipment and information systems are an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum: 2 years + experience (degree qualified) working as a Clinical Pharmacist.
